The following people were sentenced in Crow Wing County District Court in 2016 on felony charges:

Candy Marie Henry Hanson, 33, Brainerd, was sentenced Sept. 20 for fifth-degree drug possession by Judge Richard Zimmerman to 10 years of supervised probation and a $660 fine. She also was sentenced for first-degree tampering with a witness to prevent testimony to five years supervised probation and a $210 fine.

Melissa Sue Hiltbrunner, 29, Pine River, was sentenced Oct. 25 for first-degree drug sale by Judge Earl Maus to 10 years supervised probation and a $210 fine. A first-degree drugs sale and a storing drugs in the presence of a child or vulnerable adult were dismissed.

Roseanna Kathryn Jensen, 29, Pillager, was sentenced Sept. 7 for fifth-degree drug possession by Maus to five years of supervised probation and a $210 fine.

Kevin Lee Kilen, 39, Brainerd, was sentenced Oct. 24 for domestic assault by strangulation by Judge Kristine DeMay to three years supervised probation and a $550 fine. The sentence received a stay of adjudication, meaning if probation is a success the felony may be dismissed.

Billy Eugene McNutt, 42, Brainerd, was sentenced Sept. 30 for theft by Maus to five years of supervised probation and a $2,085 fine.

Cody Andrew Nelson, 22, Brainerd, was sentenced Oct. 24 for first-degree burglary by DeMay to 20 years of supervised probation and a $210 fine.

Dorian Lamonte Patterson, 26, Brainerd, was sentenced Oct. 10 for fourth-degree assault of a correctional employee, probation officer, prosecutor or judge by DeMay to 20 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud and a $210 fine. A fifth-degree assault charge was dismissed.

Manuel Dario Ramos, 45, Minneapolis was sentenced Oct. 6 for third-degree drug possession in a school, park, public housing zone by Askegaard to 49 months in the St. Cloud prison and a $210 fine. Two first-degree drug sale and a first-degree drug possession were dismissed.

Mark Lee Schaufel, 35, Little Falls, was sentenced Sept. 12 for violating his predatory offender registration requirements by Zimmerman to five years of supervised probation and a $210 fine.

Sean Paul Streiff, 27, Fort Ripley, was sentenced Nov. 7 for fifth-degree drug possession by Maus to two years of supervised probation and a $660 fine.

Ricky Matthew Venne, 35, Crosby, was sentenced Oct. 28 for fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct using a position of authority by Zimmerman to 10 years supervised probation and a $585 fine. He also was sentenced for second-degree criminal sexual conduct with having a significant relationship with a victim under the age of 16 to 25 years of supervised probation, 120 days of local confinement, a $585 fine and a long list of conditions he must follow. Second-degree criminal sexual conduct with having a significant relationship with a victim under the age of 16 and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct using force were dismissed.

Darcy Jo Watson, 31, Brainerd, was sentenced Sept. 30 for theft by Askegaard to 366 days in the Shakopee prison with credit of 400 days for time served as satisfactory. She also will pay a $1,991 fine.

John Lowell Weir, 52, Aitkin, was sentenced Oct. 28 by Zimmerman for making terrorist threats to five years of supervised probation, 90 days in local confinement and a $585 fine. He also was sentenced for gross misdemeanor of interrupting an emergency call to 90 days in jail and five years of probation. Felony third-degree assault and domestic assault and gross misdemeanor of fifth-degree assault were dismissed.

Erin John Westhoff, 22, Detroit Lakes, was sentenced by Zimmerman Sept. 20 for making terroristic threats to 21 months in the St. Cloud prison and a $210 fine.

Amie Jo Phillips, 18, Merrifield, was sentenced Sept. 21 a stay of adjudication for fifth-degree drug possession by Zimmerman to 30 days in local confinement, five years supervised probation and a $575 fine. A stay of adjudication means if probation is a success the felony may be dismissed.

Paul Joseph WIlliams, 55, Outing, was sentenced Oct. 24 for driving while intoxicated by DeMay to seven years probation, 365 days in local confinement and a $900 fine.

Rebecca Leann Norby, 37, Pequot Lakes, was sentenced Nov. 7 for fifth-degree drug possession by Maus to five years of supervised probation and a $660 fine.

Leslie Jay Boyd, 36, Edina, was sentenced Oct. 10 for fifth-degree drug possession to 24 months in the St. Cloud prison and a $210 fine. Two first-degree drug sales of more than 10 grams of cocaine/heroin/meth counts and one first-degree drug possession of 25 grams or more were dismissed.

Michelle Colleen Hunt, 43, Walker, was sentenced Aug. 28 for fifth-degree drug possession by Maus to five years of supervised probation and a $660 fine.

Karen Sue Jones, 46, Pequot Lakes, was sentenced a stay of adjudication for theft by swindle of public funds by Maus to three years supervised probation and a $526 fine.
