CPR lessons offered at YMCA

The Brainerd Family YMCA will offer an American Health and Safety Institute CPR class for the community and the work place. Participants will learn to recognize and respond to the signals of heart attack, cardiac arrest and stroke as well as other medical emergencies for adults, children and infants including obstructed airway (choking), allergic reactions and drowning. Participants will earn a 2-year certification card. This class is taught by Dianna Jenkins, a certified instructor with the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). Class will meet from 6:15 to 9:15 p.m., Dec. 8, at the YMCA. Cost is $47 for YMCA members and $52 for community members. Class sizes are limited. Classes must be paid for at time of registration.
