REMER — An 86-year-old Remer man was killed Thursday, April 16, when the Jeep Wrangler he was driving drifted off the highway and rolled, 6 miles north of Remer.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Raymond Melvin Finberg was traveling north on Highway 6 in Cass County when the Jeep drifted off to the right and rolled.
The state patrol reported the man was not wearing his seat belt and the airbag did deploy during the crash reported at 4:07 p.m.
The Cass and Itasca county sheriff offices, Remer Fire Department and the Deer River emergency medical services assisted at the scene.
