AITKIN-Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at 7:04 a.m. Friday on Highway 169, north of 365th Street in Spencer Township in Aitkin County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Freightliner tractor-trailer, a Pontiac Grand Am and a Ford F-350 were southbound on Highway 169, when the semitrailer and car were stopped for road construction. The Ford struck the Pontiac, which went into the opposing ditch, and the Ford continued into the semitrailer, the state patrol reported.
The driver of the Pontiac, Samantha L. Mcmurray, 18, Aitkin, and the driver of the Ford, Tristan T. Johnson, 21, and Johnson's passenger, Lori J. Wright, 56, both of Wright, were transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi, Jewett N. Bale, 52, Bloomington, was not injured.
The Aitkin County Sheriff's Office and the Aitkin Police Department assisted at the scene.
