A 24-year-old Brainerd man was killed in a crash early Saturday morning in St. Paul.
The St. Paul Police Department reported the driver was the only person in the vehicle. The department identified the victim as Justin DeChantal.
The crash happened at Dale Street North and Sherburne Avenue in Frogtown, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
DeChantal, a supervisor and bartender at Sweet Pea's Public House in St. Paul, died when his car struck a tree near the intersection, the Star Tribune reported. St. Paul Police Commander Steve Frazer told the Star Tribune the crash is being investigated, but speed was believed to be a factor.
