Teen hospitalized after striking light pole
Icy conditions are to blame for a crash that sent a Little Falls teenager to the hospital Saturday, the Minnesota State Patrol reports.
At 7:05 p.m., Megan Slettom, 16, was traveling eastbound on County Road 76 near the junction with Haven Road when the 2008 Dodge Avenger slid off the road and the driver's side door was smashed into a light pole.
Slettom was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. State patrol reports she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.

Brainerd man uninjured in St. Louis County crash
A 45-year-old Brainerd man was involved in a crash Saturday on Highway 169 in St. Louis County, the Minnesota State Patrol reports.
At 11:48 a.m., Gregory Anderson attempted to cross Highway 169 from Pintar Road west of Hibbing when a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu traveling eastbound on the highway struck his 2013 Kia Sorento. Both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lanes.
The driver of the second vehicle, 24-year-old Ashley Lemke of Keewatin, was transported to Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Anderson and his passenger, 65-year-old Donald Carlson of Hibbing, were not injured in the collision.
