Three people were injured in a vehicle fire.

A driver and two passengers were injured when the vehicle they were in Friday went out of control on a roadway curve, struck a large tree, ignited and burned, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office was called to the crash at 11:57 p.m. on Poster Lane in Brainerd. All the occupants got out of the vehicle. The driver, Jared T. Stotts, 22, Brainerd, was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd with possible broken pelvis.

The rear-seat passenger was transported to the hospital with head, neck, elbow and back pain. The front-seat passenger complained of ankle pain, but was not transported by ambulance. The passengers were Sara J. Murphy, 23, Brainerd, and Michael W. Williams, 25, St. Joseph.

The sheriff's office said the adults had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
