Minnesota appeals court vacancy announced

ST. PAUL — Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has announced a 7th Congressional District vacancy on the Minnesota Court of Appeals with the forthcoming retirement of Judge Michael Kirk.

The Commission on Judicial Selection is now searching for fair, experienced and civic-minded individuals to serve on the bench.

Only individuals who have resided in the 7th Congressional District, which includes nearly all of western Minnesota, for at least a year are eligible to apply.

Application materials are due by close of business Aug. 23. Interviews are scheduled for Sept. 13.
