BARRON, Wis. - It felt like the whole world was searching for Jayme Closs for the 88 days she was missing. Now that the 13-year-old is back home in Barron, a social media effort is providing a way for the world to send her cards, well-wishes and gifts.

“We are so grateful to all who have shared the message to help find Jayme!” states a message from the page, Healing for Jayme Closs. “She is now home and recovering. Cards can be sent to Light the Way Home for Jayme, PO Box 539 Rice Lake, WI 54868. Donations can be sent to any Sterling Bank in WI.”

This effort is a combined one between “Light the Way Home for Jayme,” a Facebook group created by friends of the Closs family, and “Healing for Jayme Closs,” a Facebook community page created by advocates who are in touch with the Closs family. Both pages have a positive focus. Another example of the positivity: A follower on the “Light the Way” page suggested a new hashtag to celebrate the girl who rescued herself: #Jaymazing.
