Joanna Lattery announced she is seeking a third term as mayor of Crosby. Lattery said in a press release that it had been "a very interesting four years" and that she was excited about the city's growth.
During Lattery's terms as mayor she initiated the Crosby Economic Development Committee, revamped the Planning and Zoning Commission and worked with the Highway 210 Reconstruction Committee, organized work on the city's Comprehensive Plan and began negotiations for merging the local library with a larger regional library system, the release said.
"These committees and commission, formed with residents, the mayor and/or councilmen and professionals who have a passion for moving Crosby to new heights, have begun to address the future of Crosby," the release said. "The city has welcomed several new businesses, in part because of the mayor and committees working to encourage additional growth and development in Crosby."
