CROSSLAKE-A community event in Crosslake is aimed at making the city a better place to walk.

The event is 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday starting at the Crosslake Lutheran Church, 35960 County Road 66, Crosslake.

Organizers are asking people to join the walkability workshop and walk audit led by Blue Zones LLC consultants, Dan Burden and Samantha Thomas.

The Greater Lakes Association of Realtors, through a grant from the National Association of Realtors SmartGrowth Grant Program, is able to work with the Crosslakers to bring Blue Zones LLC to the Crosslake community.

The Crosslake Connectivity WalkShop schedule includes:

• 9 a.m. - Welcome and introductions,

• 9:15 a.m. - Presentation: Walkability 101,

• 10:15 a.m. - Walking audit,

• Noon - Lunch.

• 12:30 p.m. - Introduction to table breakouts,

• 12:45 p.m. - Table breakouts: Creating an action plan,

• 1:30 p.m. - Tables report out,

• 2 p.m. - Closing talk story,
