The following people were recently sentenced in Crow Wing County District Court:
Donette M. Root, 42, Aitkin, was sentenced Monday by Judge Kristine DeMay to five years supervised probation for felony fifth-degree drug possession. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Joseph C. Borg, 54, Brainerd, was sentenced Monday by DeMay to 18 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, with sentence stayed for five years, for felony domestic assault.
Jeremiah J. Dombrovski, 35, Baxter, was sentenced Monday by DeMay to 365 days in Crow Wing County Jail, with 363 days stayed for three years, for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (DWI).
Shane B. Addison, 28, Brainerd, was sentenced Monday by DeMay to 21 months in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for five years, for violating his probation on third-degree burglary charge and one year in county jail with sentence stayed for two years for violating his probation of a gross misdemeanor traffic violation. He also was sentenced to 365 days in county jail, with 310 days stayed for two years for gross misdemeanor traffic regulation-driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.

Jessica J. Miller, 23, Sauk Rapids, was sentenced Feb. 5 by Judge David Ten Eyck to 12 months and one day to the Shakopee prison, with sentence stayed for five years, for felony financial transaction card fraud.
Touy Souvannaphong, 33, St. Cloud, was sentenced Monday by DeMay to 17 months in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for five years, for felony theft. He also was sentenced to 15 months in the St. Cloud prison, with sentence stayed for five years, for felony theft.
Wade S. Cummings, 33, Brainerd, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to 365 days in county jail for gross misdemeanor traffic regulation violation.
Tyler M. Roy, 29, Cass Lake, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to one year in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years for violating his probation on gross misdemeanor fifth-degree assault.
Perry A. Paulson, 74, Pine River, was sentenced Friday by Judge Richard Zimmerman to 365 days in county jail, with sentence stayed for two years, for gross misdemeanor of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.
John D. Kerschner, 24, Brainerd, was sentenced Friday by Zimmerman to one year in county jail, with 335 days stayed for one year, for violating his probation on gross misdemeanor of interfering with an emergency call.
Jesse J. Bell, 40, Riverton, was sentenced Friday by Zimmerman to 10 years of supervised probation for felony third-degree drug possession. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Daniel A. Wood, 19, Brainerd, was sentenced Feb. 13 by Judge Earl Maus to two years of unsupervised probation for theft. Successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal.

John K. Vanstrom, 55, Brainerd was sentenced Feb. 12 by Maus to 364 days in county jail, with sentence stayed for one year, for gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.
Tiffany M. Hill, 24, Merrifield, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to 364 days in county jail, with 360 days stayed for one year, for gross misdemeanor DWI. She also was sentenced to 10 years of supervised probation for felony second-degree burglary charge. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Shawn M. Simpson, 41, Crosby, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to 12 months and one day, with sentence stayed for 10 years, for violating his probation on felony fifth-degree drug possession charge.
Billy J. Young, 42, Brainerd, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to 10 years of supervised probation for felony fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Ronald W. Keller, Jr., 32, Brainerd, was sentenced Feb. 17 by DeMay to five years of supervised probation for violating his probation for a third-degree burglary charge.
Heather L. Holmberg, 33, Motley, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to 10 years supervised probation for felony fifth-degree drug possession. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Willard K. North, 29, Crow Wing County, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to one year in county jail with sentence stayed for one year, for gross misdemeanor financial transaction fraud. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
Mitchell D. Sydness, 44, Brainerd, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to five years supervised probation for violating his probation for a fifth-degree drug possession charge.

Joshua J. Martin, 30, Walker, was sentenced Feb. 17 by Zimmerman to 23 months in St. Cloud prison, with credit of 409 days for time already served for felony theft.
Beau W. Nelson-Rivetts, 19, Little Falls, was sentenced Feb. 12 by Ten Eyck to three years supervised probation for felony engaging in electronic communication relating or describing sexual conduct with a child. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction. He also was given a stay of adjudication for three years supervised probation for two counts of felony engaging in electronic communications relating or describing sexual conduct with a child. Successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal.
Editor's note: In court terms, when a person is sentenced and given a time that is "stayed," it means if the person violates the terms of their probation, they may have to serve the original jail/prison sentence the judge imposed.
