The Crow Wing County Republicans hosted their convention Saturday morning, Feb. 20, in Brainerd, where members elected leadership including re-electing Forest Hyatt to the position of Chair and Keri Heintzeman as deputy chair.
State Sen. Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point, state Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, R-East Gull Lake, state Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, and state Rep. Josh Heintzeman, R-Nisswa, were each in attendance and provided updates on the current on-goings at the Capitol St. Paul. Congressman Pete Stauber, R-Hermantown, provided opening remarks to kick off the convention.

“I am very excited to hold a position on the executive committee to help advance the conservative values of our area and help grow our party in the area,” said Kenneth Toole. “The saying goes that decisions are made by those who show up and it’s very important to participate in the process. The people of Crow Wing County vote conservative and that is so important, but in addition to Election Day we need to stand up for our conservative values all year long and at every level."
The Crow Wing County Republicans typically meet the first Thursday of each month but due to state government restrictions meetings have had to be held remotely or limited attendance. More information can be found at cwgop.com .
