The Crow Wing County Highway Department entered into a contract with Houle Excavating for the replacement of the bridge over the Nokasippi River on County Highway 23 between Upper South Long Lake and South Long Lake.
The work will consist of replacing the existing bridge with two 14-by-9-foot box culverts, grading, bituminous surfacing and underground utility replacement.
County Highway 23 will be closed to through-traffic beginning on June 10. Traffic will be detoured via County Road 148, Highway 25 and County Highway 22 with work completion expected by July 16.
