Crow Wing County to offer land use workshop

Crow Wing County will offer a land use workshop regarding residential stormwater management requirements, land use permit regulations and requirements, and more.

“This workshop is an opportunity to learn and understand rules and regulations for developing and improving property within Crow Wing County,” stated environmental services supervisor Jacob Frie in a news release.

The workshop will take place 8-11:45 a.m. March 20 in meeting room 1 at the Land Services Building, 322 Laurel St., Brainerd. Agenda items include:

  • Residential stormwater management requirements in the county,

  • Building and buying in floodplain areas (Federal Emergency Management Agency regulations),

  • Dirt moving and other shoreland rules or regulations,

  • Public hearing process overview,

  • Geographic information system interactive map review, and

  • Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District/Department of Natural Resources/other grants.
