Road work is seemingly everywhere this summer, meaning a lot of traffic is now on Highway 210 as College Road and Excelsior - which serve as major east/west routes through Baxter, are closed for construction. Excelsior Road, including the Edgewood Drive intersection will remain closed through Aug. 15. The primary access to the area will be through the Highway 371 and Design Drive intersection. Crow Wing County maintenance crews will perform spray patch operations on County Highway 45, south of County Highway 2, throughout the week.

The county’s contractor crews will seal cracks on county highways 23, 45, 2 and 59, and on County Road 124, throughout the week.

County maintenance crews will clean culverts along County Highway 9 in Daggett Brook and Long Lake townships, repair all-terrain vehicle-related damage along County Highway 1 near the cities of Fifty Lakes and Emily, and in Timothy Township.

The crews will also grind stumps along County Highway 8 in Nokay Lake Township throughout the week and mow ditches starting Monday, June 7. The grass closest to the road will be mowed first to promote better visibility and enhanced safety to road users.
