The Crow Wing County Highway Department scheduled about $11 million worth of roadway improvements for 2017.
A brief summary is listed below and includes county highways, county roads and improvements to Unorganized Territory town roads in the First Assessment District.
County Highway 33 is scheduled for complete roadway reconstruction, including utility replacements for the cities of Crosby and Ironton, from County Highway 30 to Highway 210. County Highway 30 from North Road to Wolf Road is set for reclamation, with the roadway to be reclaimed and left as a gravel surface over winter 2017-18.
The following are resurfacing and rehabilitation projects:

• County Highway 23 from the southern county line to Highway 18,
• County Highway 25 from highways 18 to 210,
• County Highway 36 from Fairfield Road 114 to Highway 6,
• County Highway 48 from Highway 210 to Minnesota Drive,
• County Road 127 from County Road 137 to County Highway 3,
• County Road 137 from County Road 127 to County Highway 13,
• Gilbert Lake Road from County Highway 49 to south end,

• Smith Road from County Highway 49 to Legionville Road,
• Sandberg Road from Gilbert Lake Road to Paul Street,
• Pine Circle from County Highway 49 to north end,
• Blakeman Road from County Highway 49 to south end,
• Jean Street from Gilbert Lake Road to south end,
• Paul Street from Gilbert Lake Road to south end.
Other projects to be completed include annual pavement markings and seal coatings. The starting date for the majority of the projects is dictated by spring weather conditions and contractor schedules.
