Crow Wing Power postpones annual meeting, commences mail-in election
Since there is no onsite voting this year, members are asked to mail ballots in the provided envelope.
Crow Wing Power announced it will postpone its annual meeting for members, which was previously scheduled for June 13 at the cooperative headquarters.
According to a news release, the decision was made in light of the current health situation and to help slow down the coronavirus. A rescheduled date will be determined once large groups can meet again. In addition, the cooperative canceled the annual member breakfast event for this year. Crow Wing Power’s bylaws allow for postponement of the annual meeting, but the election process will continue as scheduled. Cooperative members will receive an election ballot in May.
Since there is no onsite voting this year, members are asked to mail ballots in the provided envelope. Only ballots received by June 12 will be counted. Survey and Ballot Systems, a secure elections services company in Eden Prairie, will conduct the election process and count the ballots.
Once certified on June 12, election results will be available at cwpower.com .
