The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man who reportedly grabbed a woman on a walk Friday, March 20, north of Brainerd
The office received the report 10:01 a.m. Friday of a woman walking on the 16000 block of Birchwood Lane who was approached from behind by an unknown man. The woman reported the man grabbed her by the arm. She was able to get away after striking the man, who then fled on foot.
Deputies and officers from the Brainerd Police Department searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspect.
The only information regarding the suspect is that he is in his 30s, white and about 200 pounds with brunette hair and stubbly facial hair. He was wearing a dark blue jacket.

“Public safety is paramount and I want the community to be aware that we are actively investigating this case and any leads we obtain,” Sheriff Scott Goddard stated in a news release. “I’m asking that anyone in the McKay Road area to please check your surveillance camera systems on March 20 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to see if you may have footage of anyone matching the suspect’s description.”
The Brainerd and Baxter police departments assisted the sheriff’s office.
