Cutting down trees for sidewalks

With Randy Fearing cutting and Matt Boyd on the skid loader applying pressure, crews from Mike's Tree Co. moved up 10th Avenue Northeast cutting marked trees. The city is planning on installing sidewalks along the street. Twenty trees are being removed as part of the Garfield Elementary Safe Routes to School project. The city previously reported the trees will be replaced on a 1-to-1 ratio. Steve Kohls / Brainerd Dispatch
