Dayton orders flags flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the Calif. attack

In accordance with a proclamation issued today by President Donald Trump, Gov. Mark Dayton directed all United States flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the state of Minnesota.

As directed by the president's proclamation, flags will be flown at half-staff beginning immediately, until sunset Saturday, Nov. 10, as a mark of respect for the victims of the act of violence Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

"The victims and their families deserve our honor, respect and remembrance," a news release stated.
