Brainerd Community Action announced applications for its new Community Empowerment Fund are due Monday, Dec. 7.
“We have been delighted to see members of our community reaching out with their visions to help one another in these difficult times, and want to remind people to get their applications in before the deadline so they don’t miss out on this great opportunity,” stated Community Action Executive Director Dave Badeaux in a news release.
Brainerd Community Action is accepting applications from all groups or organizations looking for grant opportunities for programs or ideas that empower nonprofits and/or people throughout Crow Wing County to overcome adversity and promote self-sufficiency.
Those who may apply include organizations serving, or within, Crow Wing County that can stand behind the Brainerd Community Action mission: To partner with other organizations to build community, empower people to overcome adversity and promote self-sufficiency. These entities could include but are not limited to faith-based organizations, economic development agencies, health care organizations, civic or citizens’ associations, local government entities, local businesses and neighborhood, youth, or environmental groups. Applicants are not required to be incorporated 501(c)3 organizations.
