Police are looking for a suspect who shot and killed a 39-year-old man Monday on the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe reservation.
There are no suspects, nor is there evidence indicating whether this was a random or targeted incident, Mille Lacs Band Tribal Police Chief Jared Rosati said in a statement.
According to reports, about 7 p.m. on March 2, police and medical personnel responded to a call of an unconscious male in a car parked in the Bug Hill area of Onamia.
On arrival, they found Jason Carl Stoltz, 39, of St. Cloud, dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The Mille Lacs Tribal Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
