One person was killed and another injured in a head-on collision Friday afternoon on Highway 6 between Crosby and Deerwood, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. One driver, Dorothy Jones, 88, of Deerwood, was traveling eastbound on Highway 6 when a westbound vehicle, driven by Michelle Eastman, 51, Deerwood, crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with Jones' vehicle in the eastbound lane.
Eastman was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene of the crash, the state patrol reported.
Jones, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Information on her condition was unavailable Friday afternoon.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's office assisted at the scene of the crash.
