Inclement winter weather conditions have made for an extremely challenging month on area roads, especially for the Brainerd Dispatch and Pineandlakes Echo Journal newspaper carriers.

The job of delivering newspapers to our customers, most days during the early morning hours, is experiencing its biggest challenges in almost 20 years between the heavy snowfall, ice and now extreme cold.

The next couple days will be extra challenging with the National Weather Service in Duluth predicting wind chills of 50 degrees below zero starting Tuesday, up to 60 degrees below zero Wednesday and 55 degrees below zero Thursday. The Brainerd Dispatch is doing everything possible to make sure our customers receive their paper on time, but we want to emphasize safety for those carriers. Our customers will get their papers as soon as possible, but there may be some delays.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers. Anyone with questions or concerns, contact the circulation department at 218-855-5897. Thank you for your continued loyalty to our products. We truly appreciate your support.
