Crow Wing County deputies arrested an apparently intoxicated man Sunday after he became combative.

The sheriff's office responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 4:18 p.m. Sunday, initially reported on the 16000 block of Gilbert Lake Road. Deputies located the 28-year-old man at an address on Pine Circle Road in the First Assessment District.

While speaking with the man, he became noncompliant, the sheriff's office reported, and continued to be combative while deputies attempted to arrest him.

The man was arrested and transported to the Crow Wing County Jail, where he awaited formal charges of violations of his conditions of release and for obstructing the legal process.
