The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of a 2-month-old baby not breathing or responding at about 11 a.m. Nov. 20, on Crow Wing County Highway 3 near Merrifield.
Sheriff deputies responded, performed CPR and got the baby breathing again. The baby was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd and then was transferred to the St. Cloud hospital, where the baby later died, the sheriff’s office reported.
The incident isn’t considered suspicious, the sheriff’s office reported.
