Deputies respond to call of suicidal person

BARROWS — A 35-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries Thursday, June 11, following a report of a suicidal person.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the suicidal report at 11:30 a.m. on the 11000 block of Town Hall Street in Barrows. Upon arrival, deputies conducted a short search for the man. They located the man with apparent self-inflicted cut wounds to his neck and chest area.

Deputies, with the assistance of an off-duty nurse, were able to stabilize the man and he was airlifted by North Memorial Health Air Care from the scene to an unknown hospital. He is expected to survive his wounds, the sheriff’s office reported.
