Dino Digs program offered at Eagleview Elementary

BREEZY POINT - The Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point and Crosslake Early Childhood Coalition is bringing the Minnesota Children's Museum Dino Digs program to the Eagle View Elementary School in Breezy Point Sept. 23.

BREEZY POINT - The Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point and Crosslake Early Childhood Coalition is bringing the Minnesota Children's Museum Dino Digs program to the Eagle View Elementary School in Breezy Point Sept. 23.

There are three presentation times open for children and families to attend. Join this 50 minute class at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. or 6 p.m.

Students will become aspiring paleontologists as they uncover clues from the past and learn all about the ancient creatures. The session includes an introduction to the topic of dinosaurs, fossils and extinction. Time will be spent in rotating through five hands on learning stations and holding a real triceratops horn.

Pre-registration is requested. Call the Pequot Lakes Community Education office at 218-568-9200 to sign up. Class size is limited to 28 children. Preschool programs, child care centers and community groups are able to register to bring a group to the presentations. The family registration fee is $5. Each child who attends the presentation will receive a free book of their choice at the end of the session.
