The Brainerd Dispatch and PineandLakes Echo Journal offices will be closed to the public starting 8 a.m. Monday, March 23.
The decision to close all Forum Communications Co. offices to the public was announced Friday afternoon by CEO Bill Marcil Jr. in an effort to limit exposure as much as possible in light of the current spread of the coronavirus. The Dispatch and Echo Journal are owned by Forum Communications.
Though the Dispatch and Echo Journal will be closed to the public, operations at both newspapers will continue as normal.
Drivers will still be delivering the newspapers, however due to the coronavirus pandemic there are some locations, such as assisted living centers and apartment buildings, where they can no longer gain entry. Drivers will leave the papers at the entrance with customers' apartment numbers written on them.
The Dispatch does attempt to notify customers of any changes. The Dispatch’s and Echo Journal’s circulation department may be reached at 218-855-5897 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7-10 a.m. Saturday.
