Distinguished Service Awards Banquet to be held Oct. 26

The Distinguished Service Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, at the NP Event Center in Brainerd.

A social will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner served by Prairie Bay at 7 p.m. with awards to follow. The event is hosted by Brainerd Jaycees in partnership with Brainerd Community Action, Brainerd Dispatch and Lakes Printing.

The Distinguished Service Awards Banquet is an evening of celebration honoring residents of the Brainerd Lakes community for their outstanding service. The public is invited to attend the event and recognize deserving individuals in the Brainerd lakes area. Individual tickets and sponsorship information is available by calling Mandy at 952-258-9449. Tickets are $40.

This year's Distinguished Service Award recipients are as follows:

• Outstanding Agribusiness of the Year: JENARIC Dairy

• Outstanding Child Care Provider of the Year: Melissa Haff

• Outstanding Community Service Provider of the Year: Adam Kronstedt

• Outstanding Senior Volunteer of the Year: Karel House

• Outstanding Senior Volunteer of the Year: Jim Koski

• Outstanding Educator of the Year: Nicole Harmer

• Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year: Sarah Wiger

• Outstanding Young Citizen of the Year: Grant VanWyngeeren

• Outstanding Citizen of the Year: Steve Mau
