The victim told authorities she and Streets frequently have physical altercations. In this instance, he held her down, punching and slapping her, from about 10 p.m. to midnight. The victim stated she fought back to get Streets off of her.

Streets told the victim he “could kill her” and she believed Streets had the ability to do so and was attempting to do so while he assaulted her, the complaint stated.

Streets, who was located outside the residence, told police the woman attacked him and he was acting in self-defense.

According to court files, there is a condition of release on file with the court that prohibits Streets from having contact with the woman.

Streets has since been released from jail. The judge ordered conditional bail of $10,000 or unconditional bail of $50,000. Conditions include Streets cannot leave the state without written court approval, cannot make contact with the victim, cannot possess any firearms or dangerous weapons, cannot possess alcohol or controlled substances or enter any bars or liquor stores.

Streets’ next court hearing is 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in front of Judge Charles D. Halverson.
