BEMIDJI - The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting Monday afternoon about 8 miles southwest of Bagley in far northwest Minnesota.

The sheriff’s office received a call of a possible drive-by shooting at mobile home. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found that the home had been shot numerous times with what appears to be a small caliber firearm, a release from the sheriff’s office said.

The occupants at the mobile home said they had heard a couple “bangs” and saw a red or maroon minivan with “silver or gold colored driver’s side sliding rear door.” A short time later, the same minivan returned and they heard more “bangs” and realized the shots had been fired at the house. No one was injured, and Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson said the incident appears to be isolated and there is no risk to the general public.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the sheriff’s office at 218-694-6226. If people see the suspect vehicle, they should not approach it and call law enforcement immediately, the release said.
