STARBUCK – Authorities have arrested a juvenile male who rammed a patrol car after leading officers on a high-speed chase through Pope and Stevens counties in west-central Minnesota on Saturday.
About 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the Starbuck Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle, last seen headed south on Minnesota Highway 29, then west on County Road 18 in Pope County.
Officers with the Pope County Sheriff’s Office and Starbuck Police attempted to pull over a 2003 blue Chevy Silverado with a loud exhaust and oversized tire on County Road 3.
The driver eluded police and continued north on County Road 3 through Cyrus, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. The driver continued west along Minnesota Highway 28, entering Stevens County, where deputies with the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office and Grant County Sheriff’s Office joined the pursuit.
After during north on U.S. Highway 59, the driver rammed the truck into a Stevens County patrol vehicle, then headed east through a corn field back towards Cyrus.

The suspect was later arrested in Douglas County.
