A woman was arrested and is in the Wadena County Jail after authorities say she attempted to elude law enforcement attempting a traffic stop.
A Wadena County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle at about 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, in Wadena. The driver attempted to elude the deputy through different streets and alleys, according to the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office.
The pursuit lasted for about 2 miles at speeds between 30 mph and 40 mph, according to authorities, before the vehicle came to a stop in the 1100 Block of Jefferson Street South where a short foot pursuit ensued and the driver was apprehended.
The driver was identified as a 32-year-old Verndale woman.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wadena Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Tri County Ambulance and John’s Car Care.
