PILLAGER - A driver was hospitalized for a bump on the head following a two-vehicle broadside crash at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 210 and Cass County Road 1 in Pillager, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

A Nisswa Quest, driven by Winchester T. Hasskamp, 25, Brainerd, was traveling westbound on Highway 210 and was making a left onto County Road 1. A Pontiac G6 driven by Samantha A. Johnson, 25, Pillager, was eastbound on Highway 210 and struck the Nissan broadside in the intersection, the state patrol said.

Hasskamp was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for a bump on the head, it was reported. The state patrol said Johnson had non-life-threatening injuries, but a hospital was not recorded. Johnson's 1-year-old son, Bronson L. Backberg, had no apparent injuries.
