Driver injured when truck rolls over on icy road

REMER--A 23-year-old man was injured at 6:17 p.m. Monday when the 2004 Chevrolet sports utility vehicle left the icy roadway and rolled on its side on Cass County Road 4 in Slater Township in Remer, reported the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

REMER-A 23-year-old man was injured at 6:17 p.m. Monday when the 2004 Chevrolet sports utility vehicle left the icy roadway and rolled on its side on Cass County Road 4 in Slater Township in Remer, reported the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Responders arrived and located the driver, Joseph Saumier of Tintah. Saumier was extricated from the SUV and transported via ambulance to a Grand Rapids hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Remer Fire Department, Remer Ambulance

Service and Meds1 Grand Rapids Ambulance Service.
