Drives loses control on icy highway, goes to hospital for injuries

FORT RIPLEY — A 28-year-old Little Falls man was injured when the Chevrolet Blazer he was driving rolled over into the ditch at 8:41 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, on Highway 371 in Fort Ripley.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported James M. Block lost control of the Blazer at Hummingbird Circle while traveling north on Highway 371, which was covered in snow and ice.

Block was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
