Drug agents seize 2 pounds of marijuana; Little Falls woman arrested

LITTLE FALLS--A 19-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after drug agents seized two pounds of marijuana and numerous drug paraphernalia at a Little Falls home.

LITTLE FALLS-A 19-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after drug agents seized two pounds of marijuana and numerous drug paraphernalia at a Little Falls home.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force conducted a search warrant at a residence on the 1000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest in Little Falls related to the sales of controlled substances. Investigators received information that marijuana sales were occurring out of the residence and applied for a search warrant, a news release stated.

Investigators executed the search warrant and at the time two parties were inside the home. The homeowner, a 38-year-old Little Falls man, was not home at the time of the warrant. A 19-year-old Little Falls woman was home along with a male party. During the search, investigators located two pounds of marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Based on the locations of the marijuana found, the woman was arrested and transported to the Morrison County Jail where she is being held for fifth-degree possession of controlled substance charges.

The male party home at the time was not charged with any crime. Reports will be sent to the Morrison County Attorney's Office for review of potential criminal charges against the homeowner for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.

This is the second search warrant at the address for controlled substances, the release stated. The last search warrant conducted by the task force was in October of 2016, which netted a larger quantity of controlled substance for which criminal charges were pressed.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was assisted in this investigation by the Morrison County Sheriff Office, Little Falls Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol. The task force is comprised of officers from the cities of Little Falls, Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud police departments and deputies from Stearns, Morrison, Sherburne, Todd and Benton County sheriff offices.
