C-I hosts alumnus to present Groshed

CROSBY—The Crosby-Ironton School District will host an event for students to see Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in action 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.

The event will feature 2003 C-I graduate John Friesner. Friesner started a new business after receiving a start-up grant from the University of Minnesota to perfect his product called Groshed. It is a self-contained, solar-powered, temperature-controlled, hydroponic growing shed going into production soon. He said it grows amazing vegetables year-round in Minnesota or any place in the world.

The presentation will take place in the Mayberry Auditorium and the audience will get a chance to walk through the Groshed. To learn more about Friesner' venture, go to
