The public is invited to a presentation about renewable energy noon to 1 p.m. April 24 at Central Lakes College.

Chris Conry, campaign director of the Minnesota 100% Campaign, will discuss how a coalition of more than 40 environmental organizations, community groups and labor unions across the state are working to make Minnesota the next state to commit to 100% renewable fossil-free electric power, while creating jobs and protecting communities.

Conry has been campaign director in Minnesota since 2002 and also served as the strategic campaigns director at TakeAction Minnesota, where he led efforts to pass earned sick and safe time ordinances in three cities and worked to raise the state's minimum wage and defeat statewide preemption.

This presentation will be in the Chalberg Theatre and is co-hosted by the CLC sociology, geography, economics, Spanish and earth science departments and Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment.
