NORTHOME - A 78-year-old Northome man died in an early morning house fire Wednesday, officials said Thursday.
The Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Northome home at about 4 a.m. Emergency personnel found Edward Thompson dead in the home, officials said.
The state fire marshall and the sheriff’s office are investigating the cause of the fire, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
