Parents and grandparents who transport children under the age of 9 are invited to have their car seats inspected and installed by a child passenger safety technician from 4-6:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center, 523 North Third St., Brainerd, lower level garage.
Locally, 95 percent of kids are not restrained properly, said Amanda Svir, trauma coordinator at Essentia.
