CROSBY-Discussing significant previous elections will give a helpful historical perspective to the upcoming election of 2016, organizers of a Lakes Area Unlimited Learning event said.
The basic governance principles of the parties throughout history and how they have changed will also provide comparisons and opportunities to discuss the factors that will influence this November election.
Speaker and discussion leader Merritt Marquardt, a retired attorney, has contributed to Lakes Area Unlimited Learning with an annual seminar on issues in history and philosophy for the last decade.
The event will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Heartwood Senior Living, 500 Heartwood Drive, Crosby. Non-members are welcome. The event will be $5.
