The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a variety of calls over the weekend that included faulty alarms and calls where firefighters were canceled en route.

Firefighters responded to six calls from Friday through Monday and were canceled en route to two of the calls. The first call was at 1:04 p.m. Sunday of a brush fire on Porcupine Path, located off Highway 371, south of Brainerd and the second call was at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday of a snowmobile on fire on Elder Drive in Baxter.

Firefighters responded at 6:51 p.m. Saturday to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 2000 block of Crestview Lane. At 4:37 a.m. Sunday were called to a fire alarm on the 4800 block of Circle Pines Road for a fire alarm. Both called firefighters determined the alarms were faulty.

Firefighters responded at 8:57 p.m. Friday to Good Samaritan Society-Woodland, 100 Buffalo Hills Lane, for a water flow alarm. The alarm company was contacted. At 6:55 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 500 block of Northwest Fourth Street. That call was unfounded.
