Trinity Lutheran Church of Brainerd and the Trinity Children’s Center will host a “Fight for Amber” benefit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Fellowship Hall.
The community is invited to join in on rustic chili, hotdogs, apple cider, s’mores kits, silent auction baskets, face painting and other kids’ activities. All proceeds will benefit the Amber Preisinger Fund for Leukemia treatment.
Amber was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia in early April 2021. She is at Mayo Clinic with seven months of chemotherapy treatments along with a possible bone marrow transplant. The prognosis is positive and treatable. Her husband Cal and their children Isaac and Alexa have joined her in Rochester.
People wishing to help can do so by attending the benefit or giving on Venmo or Facebook. For more information, call the Trinity Children’s Center at 218-829-1385.
