Fire alarm goes off at Brainerd bakery

Fire calls at Brainerd bakery and at Gander RV & Outdoors among calls activating a fire response.

The Brainerd Fire Department is at the intersection of East River Road and Laurel Street in Brainerd.

The fire alarm Friday, Jan. 22, at Knotty Pine Bakery in downtown Brainerd prompted firefighter response.

The Brainerd Fire Department received the call at 12:52 p.m. and upon arrival, determined it was a maintenance matter.

Firefighters responded to two calls Thursday. A fire alarm sounded at 3:14 p.m. at Elmwood House, 2517 Greenwood St., but firefighters were canceled en route.

A gas smell was reported at 7:53 p.m. at Gander RV & Outdoors, 14275 Edgewood Drive. Upon investigation, firefighters determined the call to be unfounded. The utility company also was on scene.
