The Brainerd Fire Department responded to Family Dollar on Washington Street in Brainerd three times in the past two days.
Firefighters were called at 11:30 a.m. and again at 6:35 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, to the store at 402 Washington St. The first call was a sprinkler activation alarm and the second was a water flow alarm. Firefighters determined the second alarm went off as a result of first alarm. Firefighters were again called back at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, but were canceled en route.
Other fire calls included a call at 7:44 p.m. to Wild Rice Depot, 9360 Wild Rice Road, for a possible propane leak. Upon investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.
Firefighters also responded to a report of smoke at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Wilderness Way. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a controlled construction burn.
