The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three calls Tuesday.
The first call was at 10:06 a.m. for an elevator rescue at the North Star Apartments, 410 East River Road. Firefighters were called at 10:16 a.m. for a gas smell on the 400 block of Second Avenue Northeast. Firefighters investigated and determined it to be unfounded.
Tuesday afternoon at 3:32 p.m., firefighters assisted Essentia Health-Brainerd Clinic, 224 South Sixth Street, for a public assist during a power outage.
