About a dozen Brainerd firefighters responded to an attached garage fire reported at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday on the 2600 block of Kermit Lane in Brainerd.
The call initially came in as a shed fire. Upon arrival, a 10-foot by 20-foot unattached garage was on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire, however the garage was a total loss.
Brainerd Fire Chief Kevin Stunek said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters also were called at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday to Good Samaritan Society-Woodland, 300 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd. The call turned out to be an unintentional activation. Then at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to Glory Road and Elder Drive for a fuel leak that resulted from a two-vehicle crash. Less than one gallon of fuel leaked.
At 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to Essentia Health-Brainerd Clinic on the 2200 block of South Sixth Street. The call was prompted by construction dust.
